Friday in Dunkeswell/Exeter - Norm

Friday Afternoon. At the hotel this morning, I looked out the window, and the sky was clear. Several of us had an early breakfast and got out to the airport by 8:30 AM only to find 800 overcast. It hasn’t improved as of 3:00 PM. No one has flown today, and we may ‘bag’ the day soon.

Hubie’s tool box (about 200 pounds worth) arrived with Len this morning. Now Hubie and Goody are wrenching on the Sukhoi to get it perfect shape. Len is helping Debbie make some rudder peddle adjustments. The other planes are all ready to go.

Since there hasn’t been much to report on the flying scene, a few pictures are provided for your pleasure. They are below.

The first evening in Exeter, we had dinner at an outdoor restaurant in the City Centre at the Café Bar. The Cathedral pictured below was the view from the table. The evening was warm and pleasant. Short sleeve shirts were in order.

Last night, all of the team members in town ate at the ASK Restaurant. They served very good Italian food, and the picture below was taken. We didn’t make it to the restaurant until 9:00 PM and it was 11:00 PM before we made it to the hotel.
